RF Spotlight™ Antenna

"We don't worry about frequencies bombarding us from every imaginable source anymore and can focus on our performance. We simply set the spotlight on the floor between our wedges and we are isolated from any frequencies outside of our "hot spot". Could it be any easier? What a relief to not have to worry about RF interference!"

Reduce Interference, Maximize Available Spectrum

The patent-pending RF Spotlight™ Antenna is a low profile floor pad antenna which is designed for < 150 ft (~ 50m) range wireless applications. Perfect for medium to small stages, hotel breakout rooms, lecture rooms, sanctuaries and anywhere long distance coverage is not required. RF Spotlight is especially effective in crowded RF environments or where multiple wireless systems inter-operating across the facility limit available spectrum. e.g. Checkout our RF Snapshot from the InfoComm trade show floor at the bottom of this page.

The RF Spotlight™ Antenna has a hemispherical pattern and is made of a tough PVC material with a 50 pound tensile strength rated cabled connector that meets the rigors of production and rental applications. It's operating range is a function of several factors, including output power of your transmitter (e.g. 10 mw vs. 30 mw), coaxial cable type and length, and any nearby obstructions. The RF Spotlight is strong enough to pickup signals through most types composite or wood deck stages and can be placed out of the way in the corner of the stage, installed under a carpet, or wherever convenient to limit foot traffic and maximize signal to noise for your wireless.

  • Frequency Range 470 - 698 MHz*
  • 19" Diameter, .25" Thick PVC Floor Pad
  • Standard Cable Connector Lengths are 12 inches and 10 Feet
  • Custom Logo Printing Available
  • More Signal, Less Noise!

*216 MHz Transmit version for Assisted Listening and Phonak® Transmitters

Increase Available RF

Since tradeshow wireless is typically confined to a limited area (booth, small stage) by only "spotlighting" your area of operation, you effectively show your receiver a wider array of open channels than with a typical gain antenna. This is particularly important for multi-channel systems in adverse RF environments like trade shows.

Limit Stray RF

There are other techniques that you can take advantage of once you are using an RF Spotlight for your wireless receivers/transmitters: Since you have a greater signal to noise ratio than before, you can reduce the output power of your transmitters (e.g. from 30 mW to 10 mW) and still maintain high a signal to noise ratio without impacting surrounding systems. This also reduces troublesome intermodulation products and makes multi-channel coordination easier.

Spectrum Efficiency

As the wireless audio industry continues to grow, every year we are putting more and more devices into less spectrum. Spectrum efficiency affords reliable operation in the smallest footprint, which lets more devices coexist in the venue.

Intuitive Setup

Even to someone unfamiliar with wireless audio system setup or antennas in general, the RF Spotlight is an intuitive piece of the system chain. Place pad on floor label side up in area of wireless operation, connect to wireless receiver or transmitter. No RF engineering or delicate antenna placement required.
